A road accident can knock you out of your daily routine, but it doesn't have to stop you. At nahradneauto.sk we combine top-tier vehicle service with legal certainty. Thanks to our long-term experience and direct connection to insurance company claims adjusters, we significantly speed up this process. We arrange towing of the non-drivable vehicle, inspection by the insurance company's technician and subsequent restoration of the bodywork and mechanical components.

Today's vehicles are full of sensitive electronics. Our approach includes not only bodywork repairs but also diagnostics and calibration of safety sensors, radars and cameras. Without this step vehicle service was not safe for traffic. We only work with verified repair shops that have the necessary software equipment for all car brands.

If you prefer your own mechanic, we fully respect that – your entitlement to a replacement vehicle is preserved regardless of where the technical repair takes place.

ESTIMATE OR INVOICE? A BIG DIFFERENCE.

When settling an insurance claim, you have two options: to have the money paid out via a "budget settlement" or to have the car repaired based on an invoice. A budget settlement is often disadvantageous – the insurance company calculates an average (frequently undervalued) price for labor and parts. You then have to source cheap parts and risk the quality of the repair.

Our approach is invoice-baWhen settling an insurance claim, you have two options: have the money paid out via an 'estimate' or have your car repaired on an invoice basis. An estimate is often disadvantageous – the insurance company calculates an average (often underestimated) price for labor and parts. You then have to source cheap parts and risk quality.sed repair. This means the auto repair shop issues an invoice for the work actually performed and original parts used. The insurance company then pays this amount. It is the only way to guarantee that your vehicle will be in 100% condition.

Who pays for all of this?

In the case of a non-fault traffic accident, all reasonable costs associated with restoring the vehicle to its original condition are covered by the at-fault driver's MTPL (Motor Third Party Liability) insurance. This is guaranteed by legislation and Slovak Insurers' Bureau.

As the injured party, you should not have to pay extra because someone else caused you damage. We handle all the documentation on your behalf and send the invoices directly to the insurance company via a cover note. In cases of depreciation disputes, we involve our lawyers. You can read more about the financial aspects on the portal Financial Compass or on the pages of the National Bank of Slovakia.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR DRIVERS AFTER AN ACCIDENT

Am I entitled to repair at an authorized service center?

Yes, absolutely. As the injured party you have every right to choose where vehicle service completed. We recommend an authorized or certified repair shop, especially if your vehicle is under warranty or is a model less than 5 years old. By law, the insurance company must cover the costs of original parts and labor hours prescribed by the manufacturer. They cannot force you to use cheap non-original replacement parts that would reduce passenger safety.

How long does the whole process usually take?

The duration of the repair depends on several factors: the extent of damage, availability of spare parts in stock and current workshop workload. A standard repair after a minor accident (such as replacing a bumper, headlight and fender) typically takes 3 to 7 business days. For more severe damage requiring frame straightening, it may take longer. Throughout this entire time, until vehicle service is completed, you are entitled to a replacement car completely free of charge.

Do I need to pay for vehicle service in advance?

No, we do not ask for money upfront. In our partner network, the process works via a so-called cover note (a form of claim assignment). This means the auto repair shop invoices the costs directly to the at-fault driver's insurance company. You simply pick up your car after the work is completed and collect the keys. You only pay any applicable deductible if the repair is covered by your own comprehensive insurance, which does not apply with the at-fault driver's MTPL insurance.

What if the insurance company refuses to reimburse the full amount?

This is a common concern, but we have a solution. In the case of unjustified reduction of insurance compensation (for example due to depreciation), our specialists will help you recover the additional payment. We have extensive experience with legal argumentation against claims adjusters. However, we recommend contact us before starting any repair for a free consultation, so that we can avoid complications right from the start.
